I dabble at the piano.  George Struble plays cello in chamber music
groups now.  I know because I sent him an email and he was kind enough
to reply.

It is interesting that a lot of good engineers (me included) play music
as a 
hobby but I dont know of many musicians who do engineering as a hobby !l
