The SAS Version 5 data libraries on MVS were not moveable by MVS utilities, but in SAS Version 6, the data libraries became conventional S/370 Physical Sequential datasets. I believe SAS Version 6 became available in, uh, 1987. Hard to believe this is an incompibility worth discussing now.
