The problem is one of two. If I try to change the virtual volume's volser, then I cannot mount the volume by the "new" volser. The VTS only remembers the original volser. If I don't change the volser, then I must modify all the example JCL to the actual volser in the VTS. Instead of being simple, I must remember to edit each JCL member and vette it. No, not really difficult, just "fiddling" that I'm too lazy to want do. CA could simplify this by having a INCLUDE member which has all the symbolics used by all their jobs. I could update this one member and know that the changes are globally made. However, this is not how CA does it. I guess that it is "too new" to be a part of their processes. "If it works, then don't touch it!" seems to be many vendor's credo for this sort of thing. -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer HealthMarkets Keeping the Promise of Affordable Coverage Administrative Services Group Information Technology The information contained in this e-mail message may be privileged and/or confidential.
