I think it should work as per documentation, and if it is documented that it should be working that way it has in my tests, then I apologize for wasting everyone's time & bandwidth, and hope I will still have time in my lifespan on z/OS(12 months) have the luck to open the manual where this is documented to be the way it was designed.
