Indeed. If you are using the Internet and not paranoid, then you may not understand just how serious things are.
Further, can you be paranoid if they really are out to get you? I'm one of those that has embraced Firefox with Noscript. There are some credible (to me) claims that that is the only defense against some really nasty attack vectors.
