Greetings:

Some of my colleagues are investigating, from an architecture
point-of-view, how best to use CICS Web services to provide customer
access to our 2-tiered CICS-DB2 application on z/OS. For each scenario
that they investigate, as much detail on resource consumption is
required. Where I am having difficulty is finding elapsed times, CPU
consumption and other measures related to pipeline management. In
particular, I see nothing in the CICS SMF 110's nor Omegamon/CICS that
reports on the (alias) transaction CPIH. My questions are:

Is this possible at the transaction-level, and how do I go about it
(with my CICS sysprog)? I do see that CPIH is reported in the
CICS-supplied URIMAP performance report, but we need to tie measurements
to the individual requests that come in via CSOL. Is the fact that CPIH
is an alias to an "internal" transaction an obstacle? If so what traces
would I have to investigate, collect and analyze?

Has anybody done such a request <-> response timing and resource
analysis and can share their approach?

(We are CICS TS 3.1, z/OS 1.7 and I am a JOAT performance/capacity guy
with more experience on z/OS and DB2 than CICS.)
