Tommy, I wouldn't call 3 years between the z9-109 announcement and the z10 "fast." The z10 does a lot of things that weren't feasible (or necessarily recognized as needed by customers) in 2005. However, that doesn't mean that the z9 has problems. Intel announced the quad4 recently, but there was nothing "wrong" with the simple dual core chip.
