We just did a capacity upgrade on Sunday from a z9BC T02 to a V02. One
curious side effect is that we seem to be getting higher SIO rates on
some jobs / stcs in SDSF. Is this just because we can now do more SSCH
instructions in a given time frame? I'm just curious because we just
were not expecting any affect on our I/O rate.

Part of that effect could be processor speed, in handling the interrupts
faster, and part could be related to real storage size. One of the
"bottom lines" that you should be looking at: is your overall workload
running faster? Your business-related workload performance MUST be the
final determinant; after all, it pays your salary. :-)
