Does your 3270 simulator support GE? At least one common 3270 CECP has
brackets at inconvenient code points preceded by GE, but ISPF translates
between the GE sequences and AD/BD.
Take a look at various combinations of code pages, ISPF translations and
VTAM translations and see whether one of them will do what you need.
