1. YES. Unlike PDS if a PDSE in link list takes an extent fetches will
continue to work correctly. Unlike a PDS a PDSE only counts as 1 extent
event though it make take up to 123 extents of physical space.

PDSE Clarification
Greetings Folks,
I would appreciate if you clarify my following queries on PDSE. As
vendor start using the load library in PDSE format I need all your
valuable suggestions.
1. Should PDSE Load Libraries that reside in LNKLST be allocated
with secondary space specified?
If YES, why and what potential problems may occur? (Normally we never
allocate secondary space to our LNKLST datasets because of potential
problems which leads to abend=s106)
2. What procedures & precautions should we follow to update a PDSE
Load Library that is shared among all the systems in a single SYSPLEX
and
the load library also resides in the LNKLST of all the systems in this
single SYSPLEX?
3. What procedures & precautions should we follow to update a PDSE
loadlib that is in the LNKLST and shared across multi SYSPLEX's?
4. Please explain the ramifications of the "PDSESHARING" parm
settings.
Thanks in advance.
Regards, Mani
