I wrote a Microsoft Word macro that converts mainframe control characters to the Word equivalents. You just download the mainframe listing to your PC, execute the macro, and you're good to go. It will print to any local or network printer to which you can send any other Word document.
Not to single this out specifically, but how many of these programs produce intended results, instead of being a quick and dirty implementation? In particular, I've seen very few that handle overprinting correctly. Some will handle underlining and boldface, but how about general overstriking - I realize this is also printer dependent (my Kyocera handles it, HP handles it, my old, old Citizen laser didn't).
