Hello group We're currently looking into migrating a very old PL/1 application set (running on OS PL/1 2.3 ) to LE (3.6/3.7).
One of the local customers has told us that they ran into serious performance issues (CPU up by 7-8 times the original) when performing a similar migration. I have seen several articles discussing performance degradation when going to LE, but these are 10 years old and refer to 25-35% increases that can be tuned to 5%. Has anyone migrated PL/1 from 2.3 to 3.6/3.7 lately and has performance figures that they can share?
