1. Besides CA ACF2 SAF HFS Security, you can use the standard native Unix security based on the Unix ownership fields & permission bits. You can supplement that security system with ACLs (access control lists) if you want to. 2. not sure what you mean by that 3. I am not sure how it works with the SAF HFS Security provided by ACF2, but normally the default OMVS user profile applies to every MVS user who does not have an OMVS user profile. These users would share the same home directory as the default user. ACF2 also provides a bit setting that allows you to exclude specific users from OMVS access (if you need to do that).
