Maybe you can share exactly what error or step/process is not working. Just now, I successfully searched a Panvalet library (specified in quotations). Here's what I did, using TSO/ISPF, from the panel "Search/Update Utility" - (panel ID IFAMU36):
1) primary option "M" specified (member level selection) or "B" (browse global) and Panvalet library for Dataset Name field, in quotations. Your option choices will affect the member selection list or filtered data-match decision. Press ENTER. 2) I specified Member name mask. Press ENTER. 3) On panel "Selection Criteria Menu - TEMPORARY" (panel ID IFASCENT), I specified primary option "3" for unformatted search criteria to scan JCL for a DSN= value. Press ENTER. 4) On panel "Unformatted Selection Criteria" (panel ID IFASCU10), I first reviewed the HELP information for proper syntax coding (can be tricky here), and then chose: Position Length RO -------- ------ -- -------- 1 CO T'DSN=fred' ....press ENTER, then PRESS END (PF3) to complete this specification. 5) At panel ID IFASCENT, press ENTER to continue request processing. 6) A filtered member list is now presented. The tutorial information is useful but I found that trying various paths using "M" and/or "B" from the main panel was most helpful for me.
