Have a look at the ONEPAKZ* or TWOPAKZ* jobs on my web site (URL below). If you want TCP/IP (which means you need z/OS UNIX), you need the TWOPAK* version. TWOPAKZ8 will work for z/OS 1.7, z/OS 1.8, and z/OS 1.9. See comments in the source for a minor change needed to use it for z/OS 1.7. Don't let the name fool you, the TWOPAK* jobs assume 3390-3. With one "CHANGE ALL" command you can use a single 3390-9 (or higher). The jobs use FDR to copy data sets to the target volume, but you certainly can change the FDR step to DFSMSdss or CA-DISK. The nice thing is, once you have customized the job for local data set names etc., you can rebuild your rescue system at any time in less than 15 minutes. Look in the "JOBs/Doc" section of my web site for the jobs: http://home.flash.net/~mzelden/mvsutil.html Regards, Mark -- Mark Zelden Sr. Software and Systems Architect - z/OS Team Lead Zurich North America / Farmers Insurance Group - ZFUS G-ITO mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] z/OS Systems Programming expert at http://expertanswercenter.techtarget.com/ Mark's MVS Utilities: http://home.flash.net/~mzelden/mvsutil.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
