I think it means "internal" or some such. It is the normal status for the target of a Sysplex Distributor target that is not also the distributor. The address is in the home list but will not be advertised. As long as one of your potential distributor stacks is advertizing the address (shows the address without the I) and has the correct target definitions you should be fine. You will always have at least one stack showing the distributed address with "I".
