In addition, additional headers in email #2 seem to indicate that it was sent by a specific subscriber's email server to MessageLabs, and then it was sent back to THEM by MessageLabs and then was sent directly from their email server BACK to the IBM-MAIN server, with headers unchanged so as to make it appear as if it is a new message that originates from the very first, original sender (of email #1). Additional evidence for this are the fact that the emails are NOT EXACTLY IDENTICAL. But, I guess not. If there are any email header experts listening, I will be happy to send them the complete text of the headers for an analysis. That is consistent with the behavior that I have observed, but I don't know why the duplicate post behavior was not triggered by the second email (#2 in the above pair that I received this morning) when it was sent back to the mail list server.
