What about hipersocket channels (IQD), can they connect between different
Channel Subsystems?
AFAIR, yes.
Hint: launch HCD, add IQD chpid and try to define it as SPANNED. Such
option (SPANNNED) is available only for channels which can be spanned.
Have been considering keeping z/OS LPARs in one CSS and the zVM/zLinux
LPARs in a second CSS.
I don't see any advantage or disadvantage with such approach. Unless the
systems within CSS share chpids and I/O devices, which is likely.
