IBM plans that CICS Explorer, the "new face of CICS," will be a standard CICS Transaction Server feature. Initial availability (in a no-charge downloadable SupportPac) is expected to be in 4Q2008. CICS Explorer should help simplify CICS (and CICS tools) operations and administration, especially for new CICS customers and IT staff new to CICS, by providing a common graphical interface and control point. CICS Explorer should also help all CICS TS administrators and operators be more productive.
