Connect:Direct writes type 132 by default if you turn the feature on (using the statistics exit - "STATISTICS.EXIT=xxxxx" (DMGSMF by default) in the startup parms).
If you have C:D then it could be that your TSO user is doing something with it that's causing it to generate and log statistics.
