There is a lot of interest in "retro-computing" these days, and I am hoping to resurrect APL\360 running under DOS/360 or DOS/VS using the Hercules IBM mainframe emulator.

I am hopeful that somewhere, someone may still have a machine-readable copy of the original IBM Program 360D-03.3.007 APL\360 for DOS/360, which was released by IBM as a TYPE III program in Aug. 1968, with no support and at no cost, without copyright or license.

Also, we would like to find copies of any of the following IBM manuals, for these early versions of APL\360:

APL/360 TYPE III PROGRAM DOCUMENTATION REPORT 360D-03.3.007 AUG. 1969
APL/360 OS AND DOS GENERAL INFORMATION MANUAL, DEC. 1970 GH20-0850
APL/360 OS AND APL/360 DOS USER'S MANUAL, DEC. 1970 SH20-0906
APL/360 OS AND APL/360 DOS SYSTEM MANUAL, 1ST ED., JUN. 1971 LY20-0678
APL/360 DOS OPERATIONS MANUAL, SEP. 1969, H20-0685
APL/360 DOS SYSTEM GENERATION MANUAL, SEP. 1969, H20-0686
APL/360 DOS OPERATIONS AND INSTALLATION MANUAL,DEC. 1970 SH20-0938
APL/360 0S OPERATIONS AND INSTALLATION MANUAL, DEC. 1970 SH20-0890

Please ask around to see if anyone might still have a copy of any of these materials, so they can be saved for posterity.

Mark, you MIGHT find the machine-readables in the Share Program Library. Check with Sam Golob or Sam Knutson about that. As for the docs, check out the archives at the Charles Babbage Institute at the University of Minnesota. They have a wealth of old manuals for just about every computer that's hit the street in about the last 50 years.
