Obviously, that should be entirety not entity. I shouldn't type and listen to a
conference call at the same time.

Jim,

The file will be moved in its entity.

Subject: DFDSS and moving multivolume datasets

I have removed some application data from a storage group of disks and I am
trying to consolidate the remaining data from a couple of the disks to free
them up so they can be used elsewhere. So I have removed the disks I am
trying to free up from the storage group and I am trying to move the data
from the existing disks to other disks using the LOGINDYNAM(VOLSER)
parameter. Unbeknown to me some of the datasets which are DB2 tablespaces
have been allocated as multivolume although they are very small as they are
just test databases. When I first ran the job I got the following for the
multivolume datasets -

ADR380E (001)-FDSCO(07), DATA SET E2DEMO.DSNDBC.E2DAMADB.ISCH1500.I0001.A001
NOT PROCESSED, 75
                          VOLUME DB2C06
                          VOLUME DB2C07

So I added SELECTMULTI(ANY) to the DFDSS job and it then ran with rc=0 and
selected all the datasets. The question I have is when I run it for real
will DFDSS move all bits of the multivolume datasets from all volumes on
which they exist or will it just move the extents that exist on the
LOGINDYNAM(VOLSER) volume. I've RTFM and it's not at all clear to me.
