We have a six lpar parallel sysplex but only two run production batch
work.

One of the production batch LPARs runs CA-7 (job scheduler).

When CA-7 submits jobs they tend to run on the same lpar CA-7 runs on
(we know this is the way JES2 works).

The majority of the production work runs in the same jobclass.

This sometimes leads to uneven distribution of work. We aren't
interested in trying to manage the number of active initiators to steer
the work across the lpars.

We aren't using WLM initiators.

One of the performance guys has wondered if we ran CA-7 on one of the
non-production work lpars would we see a more even distribution of batch
jobs?

It seems to me that this might be a worthwhile experiment.
