There are a number of users around there who still use them, although the 3279 was heavier, but had more features. Try posting a few on eBay, and put a notice in one or more Hercules groups (Hercules-390, Herc-MVS, turnkey-mvs, etc.)
There are a number of companies who sell these, and they might be interested (I usually buy from Argecy.com in Michigan).
Recycling would be my last choice, as these things usually wind up in China poisoning workers.
