We use ASM2 and have no problem updating PROCLIB to change the DD cards (for either SYSOUT or to reroute to a dataset). There is also at least one parameter in the $OPTIONx module that you can modify (to control the IXR started task output).

However, we have some output from one of the CA ASM2 started tasks that goes to SYSOUT class A, which is the class we use to actually print jobs so is defined in our JES parms with OUTDISP=(WRITE,WRITE).
