We have a few in the same boat. What we do is if the task runs via STC,
then we make it portable by putting the appropriate TCPIP VIPA commands,
HFS mount/unmount commands, and finally a step that does a backup all in
the STC JCL. Not the prettiest, but works.

We are a TWS scheduling, and SA390 Automation shop, and there is an
interface for TWS into SA390. Seems to me if TWS knows where a task is
running, it should be able to schedule a job(backup) on the appropriate
system automatically.

BTW, we are not yet doing SYSPLEX sharing either.
