We have a few in the same boat. What we do is if the task runs via STC, then we make it portable by putting the appropriate TCPIP VIPA commands, HFS mount/unmount commands, and finally a step that does a backup all in the STC JCL. Not the prettiest, but works.
We are a TWS scheduling, and SA390 Automation shop, and there is an interface for TWS into SA390. Seems to me if TWS knows where a task is running, it should be able to schedule a job(backup) on the appropriate system automatically. BTW, we are not yet doing SYSPLEX sharing either. _________________________________________________________________ Dave Jousma Assistant Vice President, Mainframe Services [EMAIL PROTECTED] 1830 East Paris, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 MD RSCB1G p 616.653.8429 f 616.653.8497 -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Arturo A.
