I've used SourceForge only as a freeloader; not as a developer.
Wikipedia says:

Linkname: SourceForge.net - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
        URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SourceForge#Offerings

SourceForge.net provides storage space for a project to house content such
as a wiki,
MySQL database, source code versions managed with CVS or Subversion, and
even their own
website pages at the subdomain location.

By uploading code to SourceForge.net, you grant SourceForge a perpetual
proprietary
   license.^[5]

... I understand a CVS client for z/OS exists. A Google search for
"CVS" and "z/OS" does not reflect a high satisfaction level for
CVS on z/OS. Are any open source projects for z/OS currently being
maintained with CVS or SourceForge? z390?
