Sergio, Most z/OS monitor products (Omegamon, TMON, MXI G2 etc) include a facility to release common storage - however unless you have intimate knowledge of the storage area that you wish to free an unplanned IPL is a very possible outcome of your release attempt - even if the system reports the storage as "owner gone".
