More precisely, Macrocode was implemented on the 580 series, which included
the 5860, 5870 and 5880.  The 5860 was a uniprocessor and was the first to
be delivered.  The 5870 and 5880 were two processor machines.  IIRC, the
5870 had channels physically located on only one side, though both sides
could address them.  Eventually, there was also a 5850, which was a slowed
down 5860.
