Hey wow, thank you Gilbert for digging up this thread. I read IBM-MAIN via the archives and I definitely missed this one - too much Marines noise blocked the signal.
AND a big thank you to Gilbert for FASTPATH - you are forgiven blowing your own trumpet on that, it deserves a fanfare. Definitely indispensable. In the same category I put EDX originally from Jim Lane of Ontario Hydro although I tweaked it a bit as shown in file 172. PDS is good, agreed. Jan Jaeger's ZZA Stand-Alone programs have saved my bacon in extremis - I always put that as IPL text on the first spool volume, then I know where it is. Similarly RPF is a good "Get Out of Jail" if you clobber your logon procs, but of course Change Management makes that a rarity, doesn't it? TSSO is a fantastic collaborative effort that is incredibly useful and simple to use. The VTOC command is hugely important in DASD space management. Lots of other stuff I use daily, but let's hear from others. Cheers Dave PS Don't forget Xmit Manager on another platform. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
