I suspect that the old XEROX printer was a standalone printer sub-system using XEROX's proprietary printer language. That's the reason for tape output. If that's the case, with new arrangement, you'll need to spool the output to JES and route it to the new printer's destination. I believe BARR acts as an RJE workstation (even though the connection is IP, not SNA, not BSC). The COBOL program output might need conversion.
