Hello,

I am familiar with using the name Token Pair services of z/os.

After looking at Z/OS Diagnosis Reference (SG22-7588-06), I discovered an
anomoly with name Token Pairs relating to its PC routine numbers.

According to Z/OS Diagnosis Reference states that name Token Pairs reserves
four PC Numbers for Delete And Create Processing but None for Retrieval
(IEANTRT).

Name Token Services IEANTCRS 00326
Name TOken Services IEANTDLS 00327

Create Name/Token Pair IEAN4CRS 0034E
Delete Name/Token Pair IEAN4DLS 0034F

This discovery prompted me to ask these question regarding name Token Services.

If There is no PC number reserved for IEANTRT (Name Token retrieval) where does
ZOS store the name Token data ?
Is the Name Token Data chained from the CVT ?
Is the Name Token Data chained by a System Address Space ?
What about the csae of a system level name token pair ?

The second part of this Question:
Why is there two PC Numbers for Create Service and Two PC Numbers for Delete
Service ?

Thanks
Paul D'Angelo
