Given the recent discussions in IBM-MAIN and given the fact that the 2004 LNGC requirement asked for multiple things (including 64-bit COBOL), I have created a new SHARE LNGC requirement:
SSLNGC09001 AMODE(64) COBOL that works with AMODE(31) COBOL If you are a current LNGC project requirement participant, you should have received a note indicating that it is now available for voting. If you are a SHARE member but do not currently participate in the LNGC project and this issue is important to you, please register for the LNGC project and let IBM know what you think (PRO *or* CON). If you belong to one of the other user groups and are interested in submitting a similar requirement, please contact me off-list and I will be happy to send you the wording of this requirement. If you do NOT already participate in SHARE or any other IBM user group, Why not? <G> If this issue is important to you, you may still submit a "marketing requirement" to IBM.
