I haven't looked, but I would suspect not. This code and logic dates from OS/MVT days.
I cannot think of any way to eliminate the message short of a SYSTEM mod. The message can be suppressed from the console via the MPF processing facility and in a clist via CONTROL NOMSG. Not sure off the top of my head about REXX. Of course, some to the others on this list might have knowledge I lack.
