Which one did you think was crappy? I ran on the CDC 6600 at ESSA, and about halfway through the contract they switched systems. (I remember it as CYPROS, but couldn't find any google or wikipedia references to it). I fondly remember the first version, that crashed whenever the printer ran out of paper.
