What symptom leads to your conclusion that the correct ACS routines are not being used? What command do you use to activate the UK version?
Was this SYS9 SCDS actually used to build the SYS9 ACDS? Were any ACS changes made after the build?8 Use ISMF option 7 to display the ACS information for both 'ACTIVE' and your SYS9 SCDS dataset before and after you activate the UK version. Are there any differences? -----Original Message----- From: Vern Mascall Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2009 8:06 AM To: [email protected] Subject: ACDS Hi folks, We're doing some testing on a replicated system. We have different SCDs/ACDS's depending on the location of the machine. The location is included in the dataset name as a symbolic suffix. When the lpar is bought up at the DR site the 'D SMS' displays the following: D SMS IGD002I 15:23:55 DISPLAY SMS 180 SCDS = SYS9.DFSMS.SCDS.UK ACDS = SYS9.DFSMS.ACDS.UK COMMDS = SYS9.DFSMS.COMMDS.UK DINTERVAL = 150 REVERIFY = NO ACSDEFAULTS = NO SYSTEM CONFIGURATION LEVEL INTERVAL SECONDS SPG1 2009/02/11 15:23:43 15 So, as can be seen, the symbolic suffix has correctly been substituted with 'UK'. However, the correct SMS ACS routines are not being utilised. If however we activate the '.UK' version the correct ACS routines are used. Why do we have to activate to get the correct version of the ACDS to be used ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
