The HFs files are not temporary these files are used by the Unix zOS
interfaces. CICS has Java interfaces. DB2 has JDBC and ODBC connect
interfaces. If a when you start using these interfaces. These HSF file
will be required for products interfaces to WEB sphere , mQ, CTG, JAVA
and DB2 Connect(DBRC, JDBC) and TPCIP. You need to do some more research
on how and why the HFS now(ZFS) files are required.

I've never had further need for the "download file" HFS after the
RECEIVE has completed. I just "clean it out" and leave it mounted for
the next RECEIVE cycle.
