okay, we have one zFS filesystem for downloads that is on a mod 54.
For me, the disadvantage of zFS is catalog requirement.
HFS is nonVSAM dataset. You can create it uncataloged, then catalog on
another system. It can be cataloged in two catalogs, etc.
zFS is VSAM and has to be cataloged. Yes, I'm aware of DEFINE
...RECATALOG and DELETE NOSCRATCH, but it is less convenient than simple
C in ISPF. Last but not least - it cannot be cross-cataloged (assumed
hlq other than SYS1 or PAGE).
However the disadvantage above is important for "system" filesystems.
Container for downloads is not one of them, but it also could happen you
want to switch it from one system to another.
