The suppression was more than VTAM messages. The only reason I mentioned VTAM was because our VTAM/SNA team was responsible for NetView, as well. What the ex-SYSPROG did was more than manage VTAM messages to do things that were not logged. As I said, this was a long time ago (over 20 years), and I don't know if it can even be done today.
