The Rexx Language by Michael Cowlishaw. The IBM Rexx User's Guides are good, too -- the one I remember (from 25 years ago, but why would it have been redone?) was three-pass: with each pass, you'd go deeper into the language, but with the stuff from the previous pass(s) *right there* where you could find it easily.
