No you will have to specify the entire volser. What you could do
however is produce a clist that will contain all the DV commands below
is the syntax. I am not familiar with using the release as I've only
used force...

//SYSTSPRT DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSTSIN DD *
RMM SEARCHVOLUME VOLUME(2*) OWNER(*) LIMIT(*) -
