VSMLOC is probably the way to go. But... Why are you interested in determining these attributes? Particularly if you are looking to base any kind of security checking on this, the pitfalls are large and dangerous. Keep in mind that in many cases the attributes can change between the time you check, and the time you (or some service or program you call) actually uses the storage. The only really safe situation where the attributes will not change is when you are looking at a dump.
