For jobs running under a subsystem, I get the job step TCB, then TCBJSCB, then JSCBSSIB. Field SSIBSSNM has the controlling subsystem name (and SSIBSUSE points to the SJB). I don't recall whether I ever looked at this for a SUB=MSTR start job, but all the control blocks are standard, and you should be able to run a quick assembly to get the offsets and values for REXX coding.
