We 'collapsed' two storage groups, years ago. One was DB2 data and the other index. All we did was change the ACS routines and eliminate DB2IND. Andything migrated came back to DB2DATA, and all the DB2IND volumes were just DB2DATA. The only change was to the ACS routines.
