Can't test it, but if I recall correctly, assignment will remove
leading/trailing blanks. If the literal is already stored in a variable, say
B, you can SET A=B to remove all blanks. From your sample, it is clear that
you don't need a strip for a literal written in your own program, so I
assumed it is just a sample for a variable having this value.
