I have just made a change in the organization of the IBM-MAIN archives.

If you wish to search the IBM-MAIN archives for posts from 1986 thru
2000,
you must first subscribe to the list IBM-MAIN-ARCHIVES. To do this, send
an email to:

listserv (at) bama.ua.edu

with the body of the message (not the subject) as:

subscribe ibm-main-archives firstname lastname

where firstname lastname is your first name and last name.

These archives can only be accessed if you are subscribed to the
IBM-MAIN-ARCHIVES list. This should significantly speed up searches
to IBM-MAIN when people forget to limit their search by date.

IBM)

I must be in the same out-crowd. The worst part is that the application
gave me opportunity to create a 'new' password. I went through the
entire
process twice and still cannot log in.
