DINO-Software offers an inexpensive product called DQL (in Early User testing) that is SQL based and creates output similar to SPUFI. It will process nonVSAM as well as VSAM. We provide mappings for SMF, DCOLLECT, HSM CDS, and T-REX LISTCAT. A COBOL record description is used for all input files; therefore any application data set, that has an existing COBOL record description, may be processed directly by DQL without further input from DINO-Software... given the usual caveats.
