Sorry it took a while for me to respond but for some reason I was barred from 
accessing the archives???

I will ensure all OMVS queries are routed to MVS-OE from now on (I didn't 
know it existed as I didn't really know zOS Unix existed a year or so ago ;-)

Thanks for the input - Certainly moved my understanding forward somewhat. 

It's nice to know that 10 - 15 Address space applications won't be looked on 
as the worst on the block.

As for the BPX_JOBNAME not working, I just added it as an export parm to the 
zOS shell scripts that start our individual processes. I actually managed to 
get 
all the processes started with meaningfull jobnames, but only by taking them 
out of ACIJMX control. I'm sure one of our Unix guys who understands shell 
scripts better than I do will be able to pass some parms to the correct place 
and get useable names whilst under ACIJMX control. Either that or send me on 
a scripting course.
