Ray,

Try this:

(I am assuming DDX is pre-allocated to your session, batch or
interactive)

DSIRC = LISTDSI("DDX" "FILE")
if DSIRC = 0 then
   say "DDX is allocated to file "SYSDSNAME" on volume "SYSVOLUME" which
is of type "SYSUNIT
exit

Subject: Obtaining the Dsname in a Rexx Program

Is there a way to obtain the dataset name for a file allocated in a Rexx
program? This seems like a simple task but I just cannot think of how to
do this.

Thanks,
