Lack of funds is a definite for me. My employer's training and travel budget has been cut to the bone the last couple of years. Since I am a student, I have been able to use the student discount and make it anyway. This time the dates conflict with mandatory class orientations and my personal budget has been cut to shreds by furlough days. I my experience as an attendee and as a volunteer at Share has been terrific. I would be there if I could in Denver. I hope you all can go. I plan to be there in Seattle.

I don't have exact numbers for SHARE, but attendance was indeed down, largely for the reason you cite: attendees not getting approval for travel and training.
